Based on the ideal of ancient India’s Gurukula tradition, Shree Ma Anandmayee foundation is a purely non-profitable residential institution for young girls charging as low as Rs. 500 per month for covering all their expenses. It imparts intensive training to them in the formative period of their lives, not only in the field of dhyana, japa , Yogic asanas , truthfulness, complete self-reliance and so on, but also in modern education, music (both vocal & instrumental), etc. to make them the ideal women of this country in the future. For this noble purpose, Mithila donates clothing, blankets and other financial assistance to this foundation
